Vincent Jeannot
Vincent Jeannot is a fine art photographer exploring the dramaturgy of the body, from the dance stage to digital creation.
His research materializes today in Corps Obscura, a photobook conceived as a closed-door exploration. Away from the stage, dancers and performers explore movement through directed improvisation. From the organic confrontation with clay to the integration of artificial intelligence as a true choreographic partner, the work deconstructs anatomy to border on abstraction. This project brings matter, Dante’s work, and digital scenography into dialogue. Generative AI unfolds a visual universe dictated by the previously chosen canto. At the heart of this virtual set, the posture and gestures of the performers remain strictly intact, without the slightest bodily alteration.
This studio work follows years of immersion on stage. This site thus reveals the entirety of the author's live performance photographic archives. More than two hundred shows are documented here. These galleries bear witness to a gaze forged in the urgency of live performance, in close contact with creation and contemporary dance companies.
